Fatma Leylâ Ak
Fatma Leylâ Ak (b. 1995, Ankara) is an independent curator, writer, and art historian based in Ankara, Türkiye. She graduated from the Department of Art History at Ankara University in 2019 and has worked across archaeology, museums, galleries, and contemporary art institutions.
Her curatorial practice has developed through collaborations with institutions including Müze Evliyagil, Açık Diyalog Istanbul, Akbank Sanat, Flottmann-Hallen Cultural Center, Kunstverein Lüneburg, Institut für Moderne Kunst Nürnberg, and Summart Sanat. In 2026, she was awarded an international artist residency scholarship.
Alongside her curatorial work, she writes essays, exhibition texts, and short fiction. Her texts have appeared in publications including Öykü Gazetesi, Solfasol, Sanat Okur, Artfulliving, and Unlimited.
Her practice explores the intersections of contemporary art, writing, memory, and visual culture.
